Claude Code video generator

Claude Code video generator: make videos from your terminal

One command adds EveryGen to Claude Code as an MCP server. After you sign in, you can ask for a product shot, a launch teaser or a social clip in the same session where you build the project, and Claude Code returns the video link.

  1. 1

    Add the MCP server

Open a terminal in any folder and run this once. It registers EveryGen as an HTTP MCP server for your user, so it is available in every project:

claude mcp add --transport http everygen https://everygenai.video/api/mcp
  2. 2

    Sign in to EveryGen

Start Claude Code with the claude command and type /mcp. EveryGen is listed as needing authentication: select it and choose to authenticate. Your browser opens the everygenai.video sign-in page; log in, click Allow, then return to the terminal. /mcp now shows EveryGen as connected, and your credits are used for every video.

  3. 3

Ask for a video in the session

Describe the clip in plain language, for example: "Make a 6-second vertical teaser for this landing page, dark background, product in the centre." Approve the EveryGen tool call when asked. Claude Code picks a model, starts the job, checks on it until it finishes and gives you the video link.

Questions

How do I generate a video from Claude Code?

Add the EveryGen MCP server with the command above, sign in through /mcp, then describe the video in your session. Claude Code calls generate_video and returns the link when the job is ready.

Do I need an API key?

No. Claude Code signs in with OAuth. If you prefer to script it, you can create an API key in your account and send it as a bearer token instead.

Can it use my project files?

Claude Code can read your project and write the prompt from it, for example a teaser from your README. The connector itself takes a prompt and a public image URL, so it does not read local files.

Where do the videos go?

The tool returns a link to the finished video. Download it from the link or find it in your EveryGen generation history.

What the connector can do

  • list_video_models

Lists every video model with its durations, resolutions, aspect ratios and credit cost per second.

  • generate_video

Starts a text-to-video or image-to-video job. Uses credits from the connected account; failed jobs are refunded.

  • get_video_task

Checks a job and returns the video link when it is ready.

Ask in plain words, get a finished clip

Real results from the connector. Each clip came from the request on the left; the assistant turned it into the full prompt shown under the video.
